SIDEBAR adverts are available on any page of the website. The central BODY of each page may be utilised as either full width or split into three columns, which may also be doubled as this one is. BODY ADVERTS may be available on some pages where they are relevant to the content of the page.
All adverts (and articles) appear in boxes with a 1-pixel border and a drop-shadow for emphasis and clear separation. All the pixel sizes specified are useable sizes and take account of borders, shadows, and gutters. A full column has been defined in height so that it would be completely visible without scrolling on most screens and browsers when the browser is started in full-screen.
ADVERT HEIGHTS
There are four different standard heights of advert. The BANNER height is 90 pixels high and is only available in the body. The FULL COLUMN ad is 568 pixels high and is only available in the sidebars. The HALF COLUMN is 274 pixels high, the THIRD COLUMN is 176 pixels high and the QUARTER COLUMN is 127 pixels high. Half, third, and quarter column heights are available in both sidebar and body locations.
ADVERT WIDTHS
Left-Sidebar adverts are 236 pixels wide, three-column body-ads are 822 pixels wide, doubled-third column body-ads are 541 pixels wide, single-third column body-ads are 262 pixels wide and Right-Sidebar ads are 174 pixels wide.
ADVERT FORMATS
Adverts should be supplied as .GIF or .JPG images or Flash/AS3 .SWF files. Advert files supplied which do not match the dimensions for the advert type/location requested will automatically be scaled to fit.
PRIORITY PLACING
In addition to as-available placing, adverts may be placed with PRIORITY (i.e. expected to appear without scrolling on most screens and browsers when the browser is started in full screen) for which a 25% premium will be charged, and with TOP PRIORITY, where they will appear immediately below the screen header / menu / Boatworkshop Logo and for which a 35% premium will be charged.
